Two ˿����Ƶ Tech students spent the summer painting a mural within ˿����Ƶ Tech’s Purvine Hall, to highlight the journey that energy takes to get to us, and all the steps taken by our engineers to get it there.

Cynthia Roe, a Civil Engineering student at ˿����Ƶ Tech, has been selected as recipient of the 2020-21 ˿����Ƶ undergraduate Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Scholarship, a scholarship valued at $2,500 to promote the advancement of the transportation profession by providing financial assistance to students pursuing degrees in transportation engineering or other related fields.

Klamath Falls, Ore. – ˿����Ƶ (˿����Ƶ Tech) faculty and staff members were welcomed back to campus Wednesday with virtual convocation events. Convocation marks the traditional beginning of the academic year and this year, it covered the many new procedures in place to work toward a safe and healthy academic year.

U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges rankings list ˿����Ƶ Tech as one of the top universities in the West and a top engineering program in the nation. The report lists ˿����Ƶ Tech at No. 2 Top Public College in the West and No. 5 Best Western Regional Colleges- the top in ˿����Ƶ on both lists. ˿����Ƶ Tech is also featured as a Best Value School for being one of the western regional colleges with the least student debt.

˿����Ƶ Tech has been selected as a new partner in the Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE) program. PAVE is a peer support program that connects incoming student veterans on college campuses with student veterans at the same college who are trained as Peer Advisors.

A new ranking from Business Insider places ˿����Ƶ alumni at #9 of the highest earning graduates in the nation.

Garrett Oman, senior in Civil Engineering at ˿����Ƶ, “˿����Ƶ Tech,” has been selected as recipient of the APWA Civil Engineering Scholarship from the ˿����Ƶ American Public Works Association (APWA) Scholastic Foundation.

Anna Sheadel, senior in Civil Engineering at ˿����Ƶ, “˿����Ƶ Tech,” has been selected as recipient of the APWA-Asphalt Pavement Association of ˿����Ƶ Scholarship from the ˿����Ƶ American Public Works Association (APWA) Scholastic Foundation.

˿����Ƶ Tech’s TRIO Student Support Services has been awarded $1.47 million in competitive grant funding through the U.S. Department of Education. The goal of the program is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants, who include students from low-income families, first-generation students, and students with disabilities. Beginning in September of this year, ˿����Ƶ Tech will receive $294,380 annually for the next five years to fund the TRIO program.

Base to Bachelor’s is a partnership between KCC and ˿����Ƶ Tech that is designed to promote college access, affordability, and bachelor’s degree completion for Community College of the Air Force air personnel, military-affiliated and veteran students.
