˿Ƶ Tech Student Wins Statewide Transportation Engineers Scholarship

Cynthia Roe, a Civil Engineering student at ˿Ƶ Tech, has been selected as recipient of the 2020-21 ˿Ƶ undergraduate Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Scholarship, a scholarship valued at $2,500 to promote the advancement of the transportation profession by providing financial assistance to students pursuing degrees in transportation engineering or other related fields.

˿Ƶ Tech Welcomes Faculty and Staff Back in Virtual Convocation and Prepares for Adjusted Classes on Sept. 21

Klamath Falls, Ore. – ˿Ƶ (˿Ƶ Tech) faculty and staff members were welcomed back to campus Wednesday with virtual convocation events. Convocation marks the traditional beginning of the academic year and this year, it covered the many new procedures in place to work toward a safe and healthy academic year.

Best College Rankings from U.S. News & World Report List ˿Ƶ Tech as a Best College in the West and Best Engineering Program

U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges rankings list ˿Ƶ Tech as one of the top universities in the West and a top engineering program in the nation. The report lists ˿Ƶ Tech at No. 2 Top Public College in the West and No. 5 Best Western Regional Colleges- the top in ˿Ƶ on both lists. ˿Ƶ Tech is also featured as a Best Value School for being one of the western regional colleges with the least student debt.

˿Ƶ Tech receives approval for grant-funded program that helps student veterans navigate college and receive peer support

˿Ƶ Tech has been selected as a new partner in the Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE) program. PAVE is a peer support program that connects incoming student veterans on college campuses with student veterans at the same college who are trained as Peer Advisors.

˿Ƶ Tech TRIO program receives $1.47 million in federal funding to support first-generation students, low-income students, and students with disabilities

˿Ƶ Tech’s TRIO Student Support Services has been awarded $1.47 million in competitive grant funding through the U.S. Department of Education. The goal of the program is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants, who include students from low-income families, first-generation students, and students with disabilities. Beginning in September of this year, ˿Ƶ Tech will receive $294,380 annually for the next five years to fund the TRIO program.
