Dr. Anne Davenport, an instructor in ˿Ƶ Tech's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, has combined her passion for health and art in a new mural titled "The Portal That Heals Me," now displayed on the Sky Lakes Medical Center Washburn Way Pharmacy. Dr. Davenport, who is also a Sky Lakes Physical Therapist and the Health Promotion Services Manager at the Klamath Basin Senior Citizens’ Center, specializes in geriatrics, acute care, community wellness, and fall prevention. Her mural reflects the connection between healing and creativity. Thank you, Dr.

The other week our professor Rick had the opportunity to bring 3 of our students to Indonesia in partnership with RAD-AID. They went with the goal of helping increase education around PET/CT imaging in Indonesia. Rad-AID is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving radiology healthcare services in underprivileged areas around the world.

Three ˿Ƶ Tech faculty and 25 students are on an international study abroad trip, exploring Finland and Estonia during their first week. The trip is a collaboration between Drs. Sonja Bickford, Nate Bickford, and Jherime Kellerman. It brings students from different programs of study together to explore history, politics, culture, engineering, people, innovation, technology, business practices, environment, communication, marketing, and more.

🤖 ˿Ƶ Tech successfully hosted three LEGO camps for 1st- through 6th-grade students this summer. Organized by ˿Ƶ Tech Educational Partnerships & Outreach (EPO), these camps provided an exciting opportunity for kids to explore the world of robotics and engineering. At LEGO Camp, students used LEGO Education Spike kits to create and code through different units, learning to use robotics to solve real-world problems or invent exciting creations.

It was our honor to host the Klamath Tribes Youth Summit on campus on August 6-8. Shawni Cayetano-Ramos and her team in Student Involvement and Belonging did an amazing job coordinating and facilitating this three-day event, where youth stayed in the residence hall for two nights. The Klamath Tribes Youth Summit is an event cohosted by ˿Ƶ Tech and the Klamath Tribes to provide Tribal youth with opportunities to explore, engage with, and celebrate Tribal culture.
