Business Management professor Jared Emard loves Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Tech and the Southern Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ region. Growing up in Chiloquin, Jared was homeschooled and learned the construction trade from his father. At 16, he started taking classes at OIT and graduated with degrees in Operations Management and Marketing with a minor in International Business. When he is not teaching, Jared enjoys constructing homes and spending time with his wife, Tamara, oldest daughter, Iva, and twins, Elliot and Eleanor (Nora).

In a show of support for first-generation students attending Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Tech, the university recently participated in the nationwide First-Generation College Celebration. First-generation college students are those whose parents or legal guardians have not completed a bachelor's degree.

Kristy Weidman joined the Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Tech team in 2007 and has worked her way from being an adjunct instructor to being an associate professor and marketing program director. Kristy has many accolades ranging from business certifications to awards such as the 2023 Excellence in Teaching Award for her outstanding achievement and dedication to the students at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ. Before working at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓÆµ Tech, Kristy worked in broadcast journalism, video production, graphic design, sales, project management, and public affairs.
