Everyone meet Mario. 👋 He is a senior this year in Mechanical Engineering, and he was awarded the DeArmond Manufacturing Scholarship in his freshman year. This scholarship provides the opportunity for 5 students to receive a four-year scholarship to cover tuition and fees at ˿����Ƶ Tech, to pursue a degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering. The DeArmond Fellowship also includes an internship at the OMIC R&D facility in Scappoose, ˿����Ƶ. This scholarship is currently open for applicants and is just one of the many Foundation scholarships awarded.

Hurry, scholarships are waiting for you!! The ˿����Ƶ Tech Foundation scholarships are still open until March 1st. There is a record number of scholarship dollars ($586,000) to be awarded. Apply now! They host both live shows and cult classic movie events throughout the year. Our very own Hootie T. Owl got to visit earlier this school year to congratulate local high school seniors, and stayed for all 3 nights of the Star Wars trilogy (and yes, played all the vintage Star Wars video games in the lobby too).

Cameron Caldwell is an Osteosarcoma Survivor in his junior year in Bio-Health science at ˿����Ƶ Tech. He’s one of 3 recipients of a Candlelighters Scholarship for 2021/2022. Cameron entered ˿����Ƶ Tech with hopes of one day becoming a practicing oncologist. The Candlelighters organization recently interviewed Cameron. Check it out at: #oregontech #MadLoveMonday

Senior Scott Morris is using what he's learned in his Renewable Energy Engineering courses at ˿����Ƶ Tech to convert a '79 Datsun pickup into an electric vehicle. Scott’s goal is to highlight renewables for automotive applications—even a pickup that’s 43 years old. “My project will utilize 3D scanning technology and computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop a methodology where designing and production of the EV conversion kit can be applied to other classic vehicles in the future,” says Scott.
